Symptom

In a document both the items initially were tax exempted due to Tax Exemption Certificate attached to it. Initialize Certificate on any item would affect tax not exempted for the both items although the other item still has assignment to Certificate.

Reason and Prerequisites

This problem is caused by a program error.
Solution

This error is corrected in SAP_AP IPC PricingEngine 7.00 SP17.For earlier release (SP16) please apply the latest IPC patch as described in note 880749.The Tax Exemption Certificate functionality is only valid from SP16 onwards,so previous SPs do not require this patch.As a prerequisite of this note customer has to have CRM 700 EhP1 SP00 for billing components and CRM order components.
