Symptom
1) When a new material is created, everything is fine and the value of the new MARA field gets copied to COMM_PRODUCT-CONFIG field correctly. The problem comes when we change the value of the new field in ERP (say, from ‘X’ to ‘E’). In this case, the Bdoc goes in an error state saying “the indicator ‘Configurable’ cannot be changed”.
2) Unable to change the value of COMM_PRODUCT-CONFIG from ‘E’ (or anything other than ‘X’) to blank (but it does allow a change in value from ‘X’ to blank). So, if the material was initially created in ERP with the new field as ‘E’ and later the value was changed to blank, the check would fail and throws an error.
