Symptom

In Confirm Count Task UI- when entering a new item with product id which is iStock managed, an error messages are created which make the process difficult to follow for the customer.
Other terms

This problem exists only from SP12 down.
(We cannot import the change from FP2 since in FP2 we are calling a service which didn’t exist before)
Reason and Prerequisites

The first error is vaild since we want the user to give the relevant iStock for the chosen material, but since the relevant validation is configurate in BOPF as action validation then the field Product ID is being cleared and therefore the user is getting more errors which makes the process much more difficult for the user.
The relevant SPS to apply the correction are-
ByD 1.00 (FP1.x) SPS 11
ByD 1.00 (FP1.x) SPS 12

Solution

The correction will be via Hotfix 18520:
1- in BOPF configuration – Recreate the relevant validation as consistency check instead of action check.
2- in class CL_APPI_V_ISTOCK_MANDATORY – adjust the error messages to a consistency validation.
