Symptom
The sales unit or service execution team found in a sales order or service order is not expected by the user. The user maintained a sales unit in the customer master data of the buyer entered in the document.
Other terms
Determination, parties, organisational unit, seller
Reason and Prerequisites
The sales unit is not determined via the sales units for which data is maintained in the customer master data. It is rather the other way around: from the sales unit derived, you read the customer data with this sales unit as key (remark: if no sales area specific data is available, then the sales area independent data is read from customer).
The sales unit is defaulted in general by:
1) Responsibilities (for example, sales unit is declared in responsbilities as directly responsible for the Account or as indirectly responsible, for example, for the country and region of the Account
2) If the Employee Responsible is assigned to an OrgCenter being a Sales Unit or under a Sales Unit, then this one is taken
3) If the organizational model contains only one sales unit, then this one is taken.
The user has the possibility to overwrite the defaulting or to enter the sales unit manually, if none has been found.
Solution
To achieve a corresponding defaulting
1) maintain responsibilities accordingly or
2) Make sure, that the employee responsibles are assigned to a sales unit or to an OrgCentre under a sales unit
3) (only if you have only one sales unit): mark only this sales unit as sales unit in the Organizational Model
Otherwise you may enter manually the sales unit.
