Symptom

If the negative amount is passed at the item level to TTE as an credit memo and if the item has tax ememption certificate attached to it then EXEMPT BASE should be calculated depending upon the Max Amount and Current Amount of the certificate.

Reason and Prerequisites

The system erroneously assumes exemption base nothing in case of credit memo even if generic exemption is there.
Solution

This error is corrected in SAP_AP IPC Pricing Engine 7.00 SP17.For earlier release (SP16) please apply the latest IPC patch as described in note 880749.The Tax Exemption Certificate functionality is only valid from SP16 onwards,so previous SPs do not require this patch. As a prerequisite of this note customer has to have CRM 700 EhP1 SP00 for CRM billing components and CRM order components.
