Symptom

Create new Sales Order of TransType ‘TABO’ for BP having tax exemption certificate and then Create item for a product with the quantity such that the total amount for this item is equal to max amount for Tax Exemption certificiate, tax is exempted here.Now with out getting out of the session change the quantity in such a way so that the total amount for this item is less then the max amount for Tax Exemption.Now even though Certificate is found and tax is not exempted.

Reason and Prerequisites

The system erroneously does not cleared the shared session data.
Solution

This issue is solved as of SAP_AP 700 SP16 and onwards.
If customer wants this functionality they need to apply the latest IPC patch as described in note 880749.The Tax Exemption Certificate functionality is only valid from SP16 onwards,so previous SPs do not require this patch.As a prerequisite of this note customer has to have CRM 700 EhP1 SP00 for billing components and CRM order components.
